FARGO — As temperatures are dropping, influenza cases are rising.
Nurse practitioner Kendra Paeper with Essentia Health at the West Acres walk-in clinic in Fargo says flu season started slow, but this week she has seen an uptick of patients with influenza.
According to the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services website, there were 155 cases in the first week of December, a sharp increase from 54 cases the week before.
And in Minnesota, the Department of Health's website shows more than 1,000 cases in the first week of December, up from 578 cases the prior week.
She says it is not too late to get vaccinated.
