FARGO — An Indiana developer that was denied tax breaks for a 262-apartment complex in downtown Fargo has rescinded its applications for the project, a city official said Thursday, Dec. 11.
The Annex Group has pulled its applications for Central at the Horizon, a $93.7 million complex that was proposed for 11 12th St. N., said Jim Gilmour, Fargo strategic planning and research director. The move came after the Fargo Public School Board and Cass County Commission voted against giving the project 15 years of tax incentives.
Designers want to “go back to the drawing board” and re-present the plans to the two boards, Annex Vice President of Development David Wesner told The Forum.
“Our hope is that there is a solution that we can find for the project,” he said.
