FARGO — The Fargo school district has come up with a detailed transition plan for the next two academic years while a new northside elementary school takes shape.
The 110-year old Horace Mann Elementary at 1025 Third St. N. will be demolished next summer to make way for a new school on the same site, slated to open in fall of 2028.
During the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years, while the school is being built, students affected by the construction or new attendance boundaries will attend Washington, Roosevelt or Madison elementary schools. The three schools will all take in more students during the transition, with each adding at least two sections.
