MIDDLETOWN — Alice Barlow is still riding high from an impressive showing at a national horse show last month.
Barlow, who owns Team Barlow Performance Horses off Reliance Road, placed in the top 10 or better in 15 of the 16 classes in which she competed at the Gypsy Vanner National Championship in Belton, Texas.
Working with four-year-old PPF A Summer’s Song (“Sunny”), Barlow, 34, won three national grand championships and four reserve national championships in the competition.
“I wasn’t surprised,” said Barlow last week, recalling her success. “When I saw her, I was like, ‘boom, this is a beautiful animal!’”
