WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Although the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office concluded its organized search operations for Ian Alexander Shelton on Wednesday, efforts to find the man, reported missing last week, continue west of Wichita.

With community efforts continuing in the search for Shelton, the sheriff’s office offered guidance for those taking part in the effort, sharing a map of Lake Afton, the area that Shelton was seen early on the morning of Dec. 3.

The sheriff’s office urges searchers to review the map on which areas marked in yellow are publicly accessible and areas marked in red are closed to the general public. All areas on the map that are marked outside the yellow boundaries are private property and require permission from property owners before entering.
