The National Weather Service released an updated winter storm watch at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday valid from Saturday 1 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.
The weather service adds to anticipate, "For the Winter Weather Advisory, light snow showers will taper off over the next few hours, and thus the period of impactful snow accumulations has ended. Be alert to residual slick road conditions."
"The rest of tonight, plan on slippery road conditions," states the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation."
