A York County man was arrested this week, more than three months after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and stabbing a man in the forehead, according to charging documents.
Around 3:15 a.m. Aug. 24, Derry Township police were dispatched to the 600 block of Old West Chocolate Avenue for a stabbing.
Officers then found a 29-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man who were injured in a stabbing.
The woman told investigators she was asleep with the 43-year-old when she heard yelling. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Edward L. McDowell, 29, of York, had broken into the home with a knife, police said.
McDowell stabbed the man in the forehead and told him he was going to kill him. As the woman tried to grab the knife from McDowell, he slashed her on the hand, finger and cheek.
