FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - For the first time since the inception of its data center in the Fort Wayne area, Google officials held a public forum to address residents’ concerns.
During Thursday night’s forum, representatives for the company were joined by city leaders, representatives from I&M, and City Utilities.
“We should have shared a lot of this information earlier on. I take responsibility for that, that’s something that I could do a better job of,” said Broderick Green, Public Affairs Manager for the Google Data Center.
A main topic of concern for residents has been the data center’s power and water usage, and the impact it might have on the average customer’s bill - I&M and City Utilities say there’s nothing to worry about.
