Perrysburg bolted out of the gate to start each half against Southview on Thursday night in an early measuring-stick game between two Northern Lakes League teams favored to win their divisions.

The Yellow Jackets never trailed in a 71-63 home win, jumping out to a 10-3 lead to start the game. Perrysburg, which showed good depth and execution offensively, led just 31-28 to start the second half, but the Yellow Jackets (3-0) opened the third quarter with a 12-2 run to take command.

Perrysburg junior Tyson Bower, who scored a team-high 17 points, drilled his third 3-pointer from the top of the key to put the Yellow Jackets up 43-30.
