ST. NICHOLAS — Engadine boys basketball wasted no time as they took down the Mid Peninsula Wolverines 67-45 here Wednesday for their first win of the 2025-26 season.
“It felt good to get this one,” Eagles coach Jeremy Loebach said. We really needed it we had been averaging 39 points over our first three games so we tried something new tonight and it worked out for us.”
The Eagles jumped out to an early 6-0 lead as junior Coleman Loebach split a pair of free throws and junior Jackson Oven hit a 3-pointer from the wing and Archer Nelson added a layup.
The Wolverines responded as junior Jaykob Dahm split on a pair of free throws and Cyler Brunngraeber and Dahm each had a layup to cut the deficit to 6-5.
