Stormwater improvements could be in place at Attaquin Park as soon as fall 2026.

“This is a new project,” Department of Public Works Director Catherine E. Laurent told the Select Board on Monday , December 8 . She explained that it was identified on the town’s stormwater asset management plan, previously approved by the Select Board as part of the stormwater permit received from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

“Every year, we’re required to identify a new project to improve stormwater in an area,” Laurent said. “We’re currently under construction at the Santuit Pond boat ramp on Timberlane Drive. The project that was next in line was improvements in the parking lot at Attaquian Park.”

Laurent said that the location was selected because of the work Mashpee has been doing
