Thank you to donors to Rockford's Ethnic Village

We in the Ethnic Village Neighborhood Organization are grateful to Jose Medrano Sr. of Medrano Landscaping for his ongoing support of our long-time beautification efforts in the Ethnic Village.

Recently, he and his crew were kind enough to plant new fir trees in planters along the Winnebago Street bridge. These trees were provided to our organization by a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to whom we are also grateful.

After the termination of the City of Gardens program, a committee I served on from the beginning, we, Thrivent and Medrano Landscape stepped up to continue adding greenery and foliage to our neighborhood.

Mr. Medrano also helps maintain Immigrants Park, recipient of a National Make a Difference Award that we created at the site of an abandoned house at Winnebago
