LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - A Lorain County woman who pleaded guilty to a deadly hit and run accident that took the life of a pedestrian this past February, will be sentenced in Lorain County Court of Common Pleas Friday.
In October, Lynda Wright pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, vehicular homicide, and failure to stop after a collision.
According to Lorain police, Wright was driving westbound in the 1400 block of Cooper Foster Park Rd. around 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 8 when she struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released.
“It’s always concerning especially if they just drove away not knowing what condition that person was in,” said Lorain Police Lt. Eric Manicsic in a prior statement.
