Protesters have targeted a bank branch in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of this morning. Police have cordoned off an area around Argyle Street and Buchanan Street after the incident which saw the city's HSBC branch covered in red paint. ‌

Police were called to the scene at around 4am on Friday, December 12 after a report of vandalism to the premises. Images taken of the branch show red paint which appears to have been sprayed or thrown onto the windows of the bank. ‌

The paint has been targeted at some of the HSBC branding on the building. Some of the windows also appear to have been smashed. ‌
