A shop was shut down after it repeatedly sold illegal goods.

Fake cigarettes and tobacco products were found at Ezee Shop in Bolebridge Street in Tamworth town centre.

Staffordshire Trading Standards officers recovered illicit items from the store ‘on more than one occasion’. It was initially given a temporary 48-hour closure notice on Tuesday, December 9, followed by a three-month order imposed at Cannock Magistrates' Court.

Tamworth Borough Council worked with Staffordshire County Council Trading Standards and Staffordshire Police . Ezee shop has been trading from Bolebridge Street for more than ten years.
