A British backpacker who fatally struck a dad-of-two while riding an e-scooter following a "bottomless brunch" has been handed a four-year prison sentence in Australia. Alicia Kemp, originally from Redditch, Worcestershire, was discovered to have more than three times the legal blood alcohol limit and was travelling at approximately 20kph (12mph) when she hit 51-year-old Thanh Phan from behind in Perth.

She appeared on Friday at the District Court of Western Australia in the city, where she was sentenced after pleading guilty to dangerous driving causing death while under the influence of alcohol.
