(Williston, ND) — Williston residents will soon see higher costs for water, sewer, and landfill usage starting next year. City commissioners approved a five-percent increase for both price per unit of water and sewer. The price for a unit of water for a resident will increase by 15 cents, while its sewer will increase by eleven cents. The cost of residential garbage trucks will go from 11 dollars to 12 dollars. City leaders say the price hike is necessary to keep up with the cost of inflation, fund infrastructure improvements and minimize reliance on other streams of revenue.
