London had the Knights, but the Niagara IceDogs had the player from London who made all the right moves Thursday to keep his hometown team in check.
Niagara IceDogs forward Ryan Roobroeck had two goals and two assists as the hosts held on to edge London 4-3 on Thursday night at Meridian Centre in St. Catharines.
Hayden Reid and Ethan Czata also scored for the IceDogs, who won their third in a row and, for a welcome change of pace, closed out a game in the victory column after leading an opponent.
That certainly wasn’t the case during a winless November, when four of their nine losses, including two in overtime, were come-from-behind victories for their opponents.
