A short-term let owner has been granted a licence to operate in a narrow street despite concerns from neighbours about parking.

Sheila Dunn applied for a licence to rent out her terraced two bedroom home on Dunbar’s North Street, but East Lothian licensing chiefs received two objections from neighbours.

In both cases they raised concern about parking on part of the narrow street outside their homes and bin lorries being forced to mount the pavement when vehicles were in the wrong place.

One elderly neighbour told the licensing board: “I’m an OAP and have enjoyed over 20 years living here knowing who my neighbours were.
