Vice President JD Vance is planning to make a speech Tuesday near Allentown, according to a spokesperson for his office.
He’ll discuss the U.S. economy and cost of living, echoing remarks made by President Donald Trump during a visit Dec. 9 to Mount Airy Casino Resort in Paradise Township, Monroe County.
Trump veered off topic during his economic address Tuesday to complain about immigrants.
Vance’s spokesperson didn’t release a time or location for the Dec. 16 event.
“Expect Vice President Vance to emphasize the fact that making America affordable again is the number one priority of the Trump administration,” the spokesperson said.
Vance became a U.S. Senator in Ohio in 2022, then was elected vice president on Trump’s ticket in 2024. He’s known for his memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,”
