EDENTON, N.C. (WITN) - An Edenton man is behind bars after warrants say he threatened to post a woman’s information and explicit photos.

Pitt County deputies arrested 25-year-old Derrick Cross Jr. on behalf of the Fayetteville State University campus police yesterday.

Warrants say Cross had asked a woman for sexually explicit photographs in October.

The records go on to say that Cross had threatened to publicly post photos he had obtained of the woman, along with her personal contact information, if she did not send more explicit photos of herself to him.

Fayetteville State police issued a warrant for Cross’s arrest in November.

Cross has been charged with sexual extortion of an adult.

Cross was taken to the Pitt County Jail and is being held under a $50,000 bond.
