Apple TV's acclaimed crime drama Down Cemetery Road has been officially confirmed for a second series.

Adapted from a 2003 novel by Slow Horses author Mick Herron, the eight-episode drama was penned by writer Morwenna Banks and debuted to widespread critical praise in October this year.

Emma Thompson takes the lead role as private investigator Zoë Boehm, who is enlisted by museum conservationist Sarah Trafford (portrayed by Ruth Wilson) to look into the vanishing of a girl on the same evening a puzzling explosion takes place.

Shot predominantly in Oxford and Bristol, the production also utilised the Cornish fishing village of Polperro and Holywell Bay near Newquay as striking locations for this compelling thriller.
