Following a 4-8 debut as coach at North Carolina, Bill Belichick is making major changes to his coaching staff.
Belichick fired both offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens and special teams coordinator Mike Priefer on Friday morning. That means the only coordinator remaining in place is Belichick’s son, Steve, who runs the defense.
“We want to thank Coach Kitchens and Coach Priefer for their commitment and many contributions to our program and student-athletes. We wish them both nothing but the best in their future endeavors,” Belichick said in a statement.
