Latest data from the NHS shows that flu cases have hit record levels for this time of year, with an average of 2,660 patients in hospital every day last week. This is a massive 55% jump in just seven days, compared to 1,717 the week before. At this same point in 2023, there were only 402 flu patients in hospital beds.
