North Bay Nordic Cross Country Ski Club is excited to announce an early start to the season. Inner trails are open and groomed with tracks set, and in good early season shape. The Clubhouse will be open this weekend for rentals, day pass tickets, and hot drink sales.
Early snow, and more importantly cold temperatures, have provided much of the trails’ coverage, but this year the Club has added to the natural snowfall with the use of a recently purchased snowmaking fan gun.

The snowmaking fan gun, which makes artificial snow by combining a mixture of compressed air and high-pressure water is rare to see at nordic ski areas. The machine-made snow will be used primarily to augment natural snow in the very busy and well used stadium area, and to patch thin or rough spots
