MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A new women’s soccer team is coming to Madison in 2026 and on Friday night, the team’s name and logo will be revealed.
“I think Madison has wanted women’s soccer for a long time and I think it’s going to be great to have really awesome role models for girls in our community,” said Alyssa Bruce, the retail manager for the team and the brains behind the brand.
The team is described as pre-professional. That means the roster will feature high-level soccer players, like division one college athletes, who are looking for a pathway to becoming a professional. Many of those on the roster are from Wisconsin.
The athletes will play at Breese Stevens Field from May until July, and will maintain their NCAA eligibility.
