Council leaders have encouraged fans to enjoy this weekend's Tyne-Wear derby responsibly. Sunday's match is the first time Newcastle United and Sunderland have faced off in the Premier League since a 1-1 draw at St James' Park in March 2016 - though a clash in last season's FA Cup third round saw the Magpies run out 3-0 winners .
