An investigation into a sinkhole which has closed a busy Swansea road for the last three weeks has been concluded, it has been announced. Swansea Council have revealed the cause of the issue as it promised to re-open the road again by the end of next week.
The city council's highways teams have been surveying the scene of the collapsed surface, which appeared on Brynymor Road, at the junction of Westbury Street, since it first opened up on Saturday, November 22 .

Now, almost three weeks later, the situation looks set to be resolved.
