HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hastings man, already on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry, is now facing two federal charges related to child pornography.

A Grand Jury issued two indictments for 60-year-old Eric Gerlach in federal court in Lincoln this week.

Gerlach is charged with receipt of child pornography on or about between May 10, 2025, and May 12, 2025.

The maximum possible penalty if convicted is not less than 15 years’ and up to 40 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, a term of supervised release of not less than 5 years and up to life, and a $100 special assessment.

Count II charges Gerlach with possession of child pornography on or about May 20, 2025.

In the affidavit, it said the material included images of children under the age of 12.
