There might not be a more intimidating, imposing wide receiver in the NFL than DK Metcalf. Apparently, he wields his steely demeanor with the Steelers when he feels it’s necessary, such as late last week, going into a pivotal matchup with the Ravens while his team was backed into a corner.

“He was on one in practice on Thursday. He was on one in practice on Friday, as well,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said in his first comments following that 27-22 win in Baltimore. “So, love that from our guy.”

In this sense, Metcalf being “on one” means locked-in, laser-focused, or just simply on a tear, a turned-up sort of approach. You know what he means. Even at 42 now, Rodgers can turn a cool phrase.
