HONOLULU (Island News) -- Honolulu Police Department officers are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred around 11:30 p.m. on December 11 in the Salt Lake area.

According to HPD, a male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of Salt Lake Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police say a related reckless endangering incident was reported shortly afterward on Kohomua Street. The suspects fled the area in a black vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing, and HPD says no further details are being released at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
