BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor’s Cross Insurance Center has a new general manager.

Jake Berkowitz took over at the Cross Center a few months ago.

“Funny enough, I started my career here back in 2014 just a little bit after the building opened,” explained Berkowitz. “I was the event manager. I was here for four years. Loved it here, love the building, and then I moved around a little bit with the industry, and 10 years later, here I am.”

After moving around and moving up in the industry, this is the Philadelphia native’s first chance at running his own building.

“I have an idea what I want to do and that’s to build content, content in the arena, content or convention center, have the lights on as much as we can,” he said.
