A Sarnia man accused of killing his cellmate in the Sarnia Jail is facing new charges of threatening to kill a Sarnia judge and a London terrorist, court records show.
Devin Fentie, 34, was charged on Jan. 8 with first-degree murder, hours after a 51-year-old Sarnia Jail inmate was found unresponsive in his cell, police said. That case returns to court later this month in Sarnia.
But while Fentie was in custody this year, he picked up three new charges of uttering death threats. Two of the counts allege he wrote a letter to Justice Mark Poland on May 1 threatening to kill Poland and Nathaniel Veltman, court records say.
