FOREST – Ontario labour ministry investigators returned to a workplace near here Friday to continue its probe after a worker died after being struck by equipment, a spokesperson said.

A man had been critically injured while working around equipment at a workplace on Douglas Line in Forest, on Tuesday just before 4 p.m., police had said in a statement issued Wednesday.

“A 38-year-old individual from London was transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased,” police said.

The Ministry of Labour was notified and police referred all questions to them.

“Ministry inspectors are returning to the site,” a ministry spokesperson said Friday by email. “As the investigation remains ongoing, no further details are available during this time.”
