ALBEMARLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Stanly County Sheriff Jeff Crisco shared new updates in the case of former Sycamore Brewing co-owner Justin Brigham.

In a Dec. 12 press conference, Crisco said that Brigham and a 13-year-old girl had met two weeks prior on social media. The girl told him how old she was, but he was found unwelcome in her bedroom on Dec. 10.

Brigham was later found away from the home without any clothes on , Brigham said.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, statutory rape of a child by adult, and indecent liberties with a child. He was placed under a $10 million bond.

Brigham opened Sycamore Brewing with his wife, who has since announced she would be taking full control of the business.
