AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Northwest Texas Healthcare System welcomed Santa to its hospital via a Lifestar helicopter ride Friday morning.

Santa waived at visitors, patients and employees as the helicopter flew around the hospital campus before making a landing at the helipad.

The Heritage Hills Honor Choir also sang festive songs and Santa visited with kids and families in the Children’s Hospital.

The event is celebrated in partnership with the Northwest Auxillary, which also gives stockings to all babies born in December.
