JACKSON, MI – A woman in her 40’s was seriously injured Friday afternoon from a car crash near Jackson.

The Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety responded to the crash around 1:06 p.m. Dec. 12 at the intersection of E. Michigan Avenue and Dettman Road, Director Darin McIntosh said.

The pickup truck was driven by 39-year-old man with a 40-year-old male passenger. The sedan was driven by the woman, who was taken to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital.

The two men in the truck were not injured, he said.

McIntosh said the crash is still being investigated, including the cause. The intersection has since been cleared and reopened to traffic.
