Former Florida House Speaker Paul Renner is calling on state lawmakers to convene a special legislative session before the Christmas holiday to roll back property taxes, saying Floridians need “immediate relief.”
Renner, who is running for governor, wants the Legislature to reverse property taxes to 2024 levels by the end of the year. He argues that waiting for long-term reform would leave homeowners and renters struggling under rapidly rising costs.
