TOWN OF RICHLAND, New York (WWNY) - State police say a traffic stop on Interstate 81 led to the seizure of 4 pounds of cocaine and a loaded handgun.
Troopers said a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Quonta Albert of Syracuse was heading north on Route 81 when it was pulled over Wednesday afternoon in the town of Richland in Oswego County.
Police said that when they found a loaded .45-caliber handgun in the vehicle, Albert tried to flee. Troopers were able to gain control and arrest him.
In addition to the gun, police said they also seized:
Multiple knotted plastic bags containing cocaine, approximately 486.4 grams
A plastic bag containing crack cocaine, approximately 364.2 grams
One pressed and packaged kilogram of cocaine, approximately 2.2 pounds
