MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WREX) — The Harlem School District is sharing more details into their decision to put a pause on their consolidation plans.
The district announced a plan to consolidate last month. This plan would involve closing two elementary schools and creating grade bands.
However, after just two public input sessions, the district announced they would be pausing those plans, which were set to be voted on by their school board next week.
This comes as they said there was a lot to consider and not enough time.
