HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) -On December 14, 2024, Hazard defeated Harlan County 53-52 to win the 2024 WYMT Food City Mountain Basketball title.

Evin Eversole scored the go-ahead basket for Hazard with an and-one play, then converted the free throw to put the Bulldogs ahead in the final moments.

Harlan County had one final opportunity when current ETSU freshman Maddox Huff attempted a shot from beyond half court as time expired, but the shot missed.

The victory gave Hazard its first WYMT Food City Mountain Basketball title since 2019.
