CLARKE COUNTY, Iowa —

An Iowa man was placed under arrest Friday in connection to a deadly horse-drawn buggy crash last month.

According to the Clarke County Sheriff's Office, Jacob Ryan Wright, 41, of Grand River, was taken into custody Friday. Authorities say Wright was the driver of a vehicle on Nov. 12 that hit a horse-drawn buggy.

The crash resulted in the death of Elmer Borntrager, 16, of Murray , who was in the buggy when it was hit.

Wright was booked into the Clarke County Jail and is now charged with involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident causing death, and more traffic-related charges.
