EVERETT, Mass. —
New surveillance video from a business in Everett, Massachusetts shows the moment a woman was thrown nearly 80 feet in the air after being struck by a Peruvian national in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday .
NewsCenter 5 has decided to stop the video before the collision due to its graphic nature.
The female victim can be seen walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Broadway and Summer Street around 7:54 a.m. when a blue Acura crashes into her.
The driver did not stop and drove into the oncoming lane of travel before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained serious injuries, including a brain bleed, according to an Everett police report. An update on her condition was not immediately available.
Investigators said Brando Diaz-Sanchez later admitted in an interview
