EUGENE, Ore. - The launch of Eugene's Sporting Cascades Football Club faces uncertainty as logistical issues delay the team's inaugural season.
The Sporting Cascades Football Club, set to replace Lane United Football Club, was welcomed in August with plans to play at Civic Park.
In a press release issued Wednesday, the club stated, "We've decided to give ourselves a little more time to ensure we're ready for the opening kickoff," said the club.
The future of professional soccer in Eugene remains uncertain, with no confirmation on whether the team will return for the 2027 season. More information is expected to be released on December 15.
