SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been named the recipient of the 2025 Disney Spirit Award.

The award is presented annually to college football’s most inspirational figure. He is Notre Dame’s first-ever recipient of the award.

Love has not only inspired others with his play on the field, but also by encouraging others to be wholly themselves and to embrace what makes them unique and do things their way.

Love’s story aired earlier this season on ESPN College Gameday. It showed how his parents spent years trying to manage his distinctive mannerisms and behaviors, and how they found competition of all kinds to be an outlet, which ultimately drove him to excellence.
