BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WNDU) - Indiana head football coach Curt Cignetti has been named the Home Depot National Coach of the Year.

The honor comes as Cignetti continues to lead one of the biggest turnarounds in FBS history in his second season at the helm at IU.

The Hoosiers, who went 3-9 two years ago, are a perfect 13-0 this season and are the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff . IU also won its first Big Ten championship since 1967 .

Last year, Cignetti led the Hoosiers to their first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff and an 11-2 record. He was also named the Home Depot National Coach of the Year a year ago .

Earlier this week, Cignetti was named the 2025 Big Ten Football Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
