CHANDLER, Ariz. — Basha High School celebrated a big win Saturday after the school's football team won the State Championship. Assistant Football Coach Tim Kelly said there was no better feeling.

"It was exciting," he said. "Definitely emotional. Words are hard to say with this, especially this year. Unbelievably great kids."

However, just 24 hours after the biggest win of the season, he suffered a heartbreaking loss.

"Woke up in the middle of the night after hearing a noise below my bedroom," he said. "I heard some popping, and I ran down."

A fire had begun in the garage and quickly spread, destroying his home of 17 years.

"So, I went down and saw an orange glow," he said. "There was a deep orange light, and I came around and saw fire shooting out."

A lifetime of memories is gone.
