The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $70 million for the drawing on Friday, Dec. 12, after no one matched all the winning numbers in the drawing on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

If someone matches all six numbers, they will have the option of a one-time cash payment of $32 million.

There have been six winners of the Mega Millions jackpot this year, the most recent winner in New Jersey on Dec. 2 took home $90 million . That win came short on the heels of a Georgia winner who, on Nov. 14, took home a whopping $983 million.
