The Ridge Meadows RCMP says it has arrested an armed robbery suspect after a crime spree that stretched over three days in Maple Ridge and Langley.

Mounties in both cities received six separate reports of robbery — two in Langley, four in Maple Ridge — between Dec. 5 and 7, which they believed were committed by the same suspect.

“In each instance, the suspect’s description and methods were very similar,” police said.

“This included multiple businesses and their staff and customers being targeted and a firearm being present.”

The 24-year-old suspect, who is not named in the RCMP’s news release, was arrested in Langley on Dec. 9.

He remains in custody, police say.

No injuries have been reported.
