ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A young man who was expelled for attempting to warn classmates about a potential school shooting threat is now at the center of an ongoing legal battle with the Cobb County Board of Education to remain in school.
Although the student’s expulsion was later reversed, the Board has appealed that decision. The situation continues to traumatize the student, who simply wants to return to a normal life. According to his attorney, the school district is preventing that from happening.
“He and his family should have never had to go through this experience,” said attorney Mike Tafelski.
